New power cable under Boston Harbor goes on line.

Constructed by EverSource and the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, the 4.3 cable replaces one that had been laid 30 years previously. The cable had to be replaced because it was not built 25 feet under the ocean floor as specified. The new line needed to be laid to allow for the dredging of Boston Harbor
